The chief govt of style chain Primark has resigned with instant impact following an investigation into alleged inappropriate behaviour in the direction of a girl.
Mum or dad firm Related British Meals mentioned Paul Marchant, who joined the style retailer in 2009, “co-operated with the investigation, acknowledged his error of judgment and accepted that his actions fell under the requirements anticipated” by the FTSE 100 firm.
Marchant’s departure follows an investigation, initiated by ABF and carried out by exterior legal professionals, into an allegation made by a person about his behaviour in the direction of her in a social atmosphere.
He can be changed by Eoin Tonge, ABF’s finance chief, who will act as Primark chief govt on an interim foundation.
