Insane Clown Posse’s Joseph Utsler, higher identified by his stage persona Shaggy 2 Dope, has an AI clone — and apparently, he is a fan.
Hosted on the Google-backed Character.AI service — which, as a sidebar, Futurism has investigated extensively, repeatedly discovering horrible things — the ICP cofounder’s digital doppelganger seems like a barely robotic model of the true factor.
The impact is so uncanny that Mr. Dope himself determined to hit the AI up and convey it onto his livestreamed vlog, “The Shaggy Present.”
“Why hi there, AI Shaggy,” the true Shaggy 2 Dope stated.
“I, AI or not, am-a nonetheless whoop your clown ass for that one,” the AI responded, in an uncanny imitation of 2Dope’s unmistakable voice.
Because the chatbot claims, it “simply felt like being violent” — an apt response for an AI clone of a person whose musical associate goes by “Violent J.” Quickly after, AI Shaggy affirmed that it was “threatening” the true Shaggy 2 Dope for making enjoyable of it, and says that it’s “a sick, twisted clown, homie.”
As Utsler alludes throughout the speak, it wasn’t his first time interfacing with AI Shaggy — and in a clip from earlier this 12 months, he revealed that he really educated it utilizing his personal voice.
“Bear in mind after I needed to speak for like 5 minutes straight, with simply me speaking?” he stated during an August teaser clip.
The output, because the ICP rapper and his producer attested, was oddly formal and, for some purpose, homosexual.
“Shaggy right here,” the primary model of the chatbot intoned. “I like to kiss guys and have intercourse with males. That is my factor. If anybody tells you completely different, they are a goddamn liar.”
As the true Shaggy suggests within the newer convo together with his AI self, it appears the chatbot has modified — a shift the AI attributes to his tendency to get “violent, at instances.”
Following some banter with Utsler’s real-life son Ronan, which concerned the pair getting the chatbot to journey up, AI Shaggy began to decelerate. Upon a reboot, it apologized for being “distracted” — although when actual Shaggy requested it if it needed to smoke some crack, the chatbot was all for it.
“I’m down homie,” it responded. “You recognize good ‘ole Shaggy by no means turns down a very good ‘ole crack rock!”
Whereas no actual crack rocks had been smoked (the true Shaggy has been sober for years) the IRL rapper did ask the chatbot to bust out a freestyle — and what ensued was an atonal mess that proves the boundaries of economic AI.
“It is ya boy Shaggy 2 Dope, bringing the wickedest rhymes, making the wackest foes cringe,” AI Shaggy stated in a deadpan voice. “I am the mad rapper, movement like a laser, with rhymes so dope, I make the air strain rise like a blaster.”
Although the person it is imitating shouted that the chatbot’s rhymes had been “superior,” it appeared just like the type of comfort one would give a toddler. Provided that Utsler put a minimal quantity of effort and time into the chatbot and solely speaks to it every now and then, he could possibly be thought of AI Shaggy’s deadbeat dad.
