The supervisor of Lyon has been injured after the crew bus was attacked on its strategy to the stadium forward of a match towards Marseille.
Footage on social media on Sunday night appeared to indicate stones being thrown on the Lyon’s bus, with head coach Fabio Grosso pictured on a stretcher and with a bloodied face.
Some home windows have been shattered when the bus was hit on the best way to the Stade Velodrome.
The Ligue 1 match between Olympique de Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais was known as off after the incident.
Marseille issued an announcement condemning the assault and wishing 45-year-old Italian Grosso nicely.
“Olympique de Marseille deplores the unacceptable incidents which occurred this night across the Stade Velodrome, towards the skilled crew bus in addition to Olympique Lyonnais supporter buses,” the OM assertion learn.
“The membership needs a speedy restoration to Lyon coach Fabio Grosso and strongly condemns this violent behaviour which has no place on the earth of soccer and in society.
“As a result of a handful of senseless folks, the sport deliberate for this night was spoiled and disadvantaged 65,000 supporters of attending a soccer match.”

The Lyon supervisor is a former Italy worldwide, having scored the successful penalty kick within the shootout over France on the 2006 World Cup ultimate.
Grosso joined Lyon as supervisor in September, changing Laurent Blanc.
However the crew stays winless, sitting backside of the desk.
